Explore the capital city of Goa, Panaji. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the preserved remains of St. Francis Xavier lie. Stroll down the picturesque Latin Quarter, Fontainhas, and admire the colourful Portuguese-style houses. Then, head to the Miramar Beach to catch some sun and sea, or take a boat ride on the Mandovi River. End the day by exploring the bustling Panjim Market which has a great selection of souvenirs and local delicacies.
Discover the historical significance of Old Goa, the previous capital of Goa. Visit the Se Cathedral, where you can view the largest bell in Goa; Basilica of Bom Jesus, an architectural masterpiece; and the Tower of St. Augustine, which is one of the only remaining towers of St. Augustine's Church. Take a break at the Peace Garden before delving into the rich history of the past with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Goa.
Enjoy a day of relaxation at two of the most popular beaches in Goa, Calangute Beach and Baga Beach. These are great beaches for water sports like parasailing, water skiing, and windsurfing. Refuel with some delicious seafood at one of the many beach shacks. End the day by taking a stroll down the famous Tito's Lane, where you can find a collection of famous bars and clubs.
If you have more time, explore the many beautiful beaches and quaint villages in South Goa, like Colva and Palolem. Alternatively, try taking a spice plantation tour or visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary.
