The Gokarna beach trail offers a beautiful combination of peace, natural beauty, and adventure. Start your day by exploring the Mahabaleshwara Temple and head straight to Gokarna Beach. From here, start the trail and trek through the Om beach to Half-Moon beach, Paradise Beach, and end at the serene Kudle Beach. The trek provides amazing views of the Arabian Sea and is an excellent way to experience the beaches of Gokarna. End the day at Namaste Cafe in Kudle Beach, which serves amazing pizza, pasta, and vegan food.
Varkala is a small coastal town that offers a pristine beach, seafood, Ayurvedic massages, and the backwaters. Start the day by exploring the unique geological structure at Varkala Cliff and then relax at the Varkala Beach. Later, take a short drive to the Kappil Lake Backwaters, which are less crowded than the backwaters in Alleppey. Take a boat ride in the backwaters and watch the golden sunset. End the day with some fresh seafood at Abba Restaurant or Clafouti Restaurant, which serve amazing local seafood.
If you have more time, you can consider visiting the Murudeshwar Temple and Beach in Gokarna. You can also try surfing at the Varkala Beach. If you have less time, you can skip the backwaters in Varkala and spend more time at the beach. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry a water bottle and sunscreen for the Gokarna Beach Trail. The best time to visit is from October to February when the weather is pleasant.
