A 6-Day Adventurous Itinerary to Explore Sikkim

  1. Day 1: Gangtok
    Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok (4 hours 125 km)

    Visit the Enchey Monastery and get a glimpse of the Sikkimese architecture and culture. Later, explore the lively streets of the city and indulge in some delicious Tibetan food at MG Marg Food Stalls.

  2. Day 2: Lachen and Gurudongmar Lake

    Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake (2 hours - 33 km)

    Drive to Lachen village and then head to the famous Gurudongmar Lake, one of the closest points you can get to the Tibetan border. Witness the stunning views of the lake and snow-capped mountains during the daytime.

  3. Day 3: Lachung and Yumthang Valley

    Lachung to Yumthang Valley (1 hour - 25 km)

    Visit the Lachung Monastery in the morning and then head to the breathtaking Yumthang Valley, popularly known as the "Valley of Flowers." Enjoy the natural hot springs here and a picnic by the river.

  4. Day 4: Zero Point and Nathula Pass
    Lachung to Zero Point (5 hours - 55 km)
    Zero Point to Nathula Pass (3 hours - 58 km)

    Drive to Zero Point, which is an ideal place for a snow-clad scenic view and adventure activities. Later, visit the famous Nathula Pass, located at an altitude of 14,140 feet, and an entryway to Tibet. Spend some time exploring the border trade market.

  5. Day 5: Pelling
    Nathula Pass to Pelling (8 hours - 185 km)

    Explore the beautiful town of Pelling known for its historical ruins and monasteries. Visit the iconic Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, and take a tour of the quaint hamlet of Khecheopalri Lake.

  6. Day 6: Bid farewell to Sikkim
    Pelling to Bagdogra Airport (6 hours - 140 km)

    Head to the airport to fly back home.
