Start your Sikkim Family trip by exploring the beautiful hill-station, Gangtok. Visit the famous Tashi Viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga, and drive to the famous Hanuman Tok temple, perched on a mountain set against the beautiful backdrop of the Eastern Himalayas. After that visit the serene Enchey Monastery and end the day by enjoying a family-friendly evening at MG Marg, the heart of the city, filled with shops and eateries.
Take a full-day excursion to the spectacular Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Then move onto Nathula Pass, which borders Tibet, and explore the serene Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Make sure to get the required travel permit for Nathula Pass and check the weather conditions before heading out.
On Day 3, head to the serene town of Pelling and that offers breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga peak. Visit the beautiful Kanchenjunga Falls and the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, which is one of the oldest and most revered monasteries in the state. End the day by enjoying the stunning views of the sunset at the Rabdentse Ruins.
Take a full-day excursion to the Yumthang Valley, also known as the Valley of Flowers. Enjoy the beautiful drive and admire the stunning rhododendron flowers in bloom. Visit the famous hot springs of Yumthang, and end the day by visiting Zero Point, located at an altitude of 15,300 ft which provides scenic vistas of the snow-capped Himalayas.
If you have more time, add a day to explore the charming town of Lachung that offers untouched natural beauty with a visit to the famous Lachung Monastery. If you have less time, consider skipping Yumthang Valley or Zero Point and spend more time in Pelling or Gangtok, exploring local cuisine and culture. Remember to take necessary precautions and warm clothes as the weather can be unpredictable in the hilly areas even in the summer months.
