Start your relaxing vacation with a refreshing walk at Coakers Walk. This paved pedestrian path is positioned on the mountainside of Kodaikanal. Enjoy the panoramic views of hills and valley as you walk along. Coakers Walk is open from sunrise to sunset, so plan your visit accordingly. Take a brief stop at the Telescope House and enjoy the views for a reasonable fee. Don't forget to take your camera with you to capture some stunning moments.
Next, head over to Bryant Park, a botanical garden filled with exotic flowers, plants, and trees. Stroll through the floral paths and indulge in the tranquil environment. Bryant Park opens at 9 AM and closes at 6 PM, so you have plenty of time to explore. Their souvenir shops offer an opportunity to buy home a piece of nature.
Begin your second day with a visit to Kurinji Andavar Temple, a popular pilgrimage site and a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. The temple is surrounded by lush green hills and beautiful trees. The best time of year to visit the temple is from April to May when the Kurinji flower blooms. Your visit is incomplete without buying homemade chocolates and herbal oils from the local vendors. Note that the temple has different timings for morning and evening.
Complete your trip to Kodaikanal with a visit to the Bear Shola Falls. The waterfall cascades from a height of 40 feet and is surrounded by lush green vegetation. The waterfall is closed during the monsoon season and also during summers if there's not enough rainfall. You can take a leisure stroll to reach this place from the parking lot.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Pillar Rocks, a beautiful spot from where you can catch a stunning view of the valley and hills. Another suggestion would be the Kodaikanal Lake, a popular tourist spot, and an excellent place for boating.
If you have less time, you can skip one location from the itinerary.
