A private shuttle or taxi can take you from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha National Park, which is the starting point of your Northern Circuit safari. Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the main gateway to Tanzania and the recommended airport to start your safari. It is located about 46 km east of Arusha and serves domestic and international flights from major cities such as Nairobi, Amsterdam, and Dubai. Smaller airports such as Arusha Airport (ARK) and Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) are also available for domestic flights and connections.
