3-Day Itinerary from Salem to Ladakh

  1. Day 1: Flight to Leh
    Depart Salem early morning to take a flight to Leh

    Upon arriving in Leh, settle in at your hotel and take some time to rest and acclimate to the altitude. In the afternoon, visit the Leh Palace which was built in the 17th century and provides spectacular views of the town and the surrounding mountains.

  2. Day 2: Monasteries, Sand Dunes, and More
    Start early morning

    Begin the day visiting the Thiksey Monastery which is a unique education institute and has a beautiful collection of ancient scriptures, including stupas, statues, thangkas, and wall paintings.
    Next, head to the Hemis Monastery which is the largest monastery in Ladakh and houses ancient Tibetan-style murals and some gold and silver stupas.
    Later in the day, visit the beautiful Hunder Sand Dunes where you can take a ride on the famous double-humped Bactrian Camels.

  3. Day 3: Pangong Tso Lake and Departure
    Start early morning

    Today, visit the magnificent Pangong Tso Lake which is a breathtaking crystal-clear blue lake with its banks spread over two countries i.e. India and China. Experience the beauty of the serene water surrounded by snowy mountains and various migratory birds.
    After that, return to Leh and catch your flight back to Salem.
