Mysore Coorg 3-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Mysore Palace and Chamundi Hills
    Start at 9 am, 12 km (30 minutes) from Mysore Junction Railway Station.

    The Mysore Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, is a grand structure, featuring a fusion of Hindu, Islamic, Gothic, and Rajput styles. The palace is known for its intricate architecture, ornate interiors, and beautiful gardens. After exploring the palace, take a drive to Chamundi Hills, which holds great significance for Mysore. At the top of the hill is the Chamundeshwari Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Chamundeshwari.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp and Abbey Falls
    Start at 8 am, 100 km (2 hours 50 minutes) from Mysore.

    The Dubare Elephant Camp is located on the banks of the river Cauvery and is home to several elephants. In the morning, you can observe the elephants being bathed and fed. After spending time with the elephants, head to Abbey Falls, a beautiful waterfall located amidst lush greenery. The waterfall is at its fullest during monsoon season, but you can visit year-round to enjoy the serene surroundings.

  3. Day 3: Coorg Wildlife Society and Raja's Seat
    Start at 9 am, 5 km (15 minutes) from Madikeri Bus Station.

    The Coorg Wildlife Society is committed to the conservation and rehabilitation of wildlife in Coorg. Visitors can take a tour and learn about the different species of animals and birds that are native to the region. Afterward, head to Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden that was a favorite spot of the kings of Coorg. The garden offers a stunning view of the surrounding hills and valleys and is known for its well-manicured gardens and seasonal flowers.
