Two-day Pondicherry Relaxation Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Promenade Beach

  2. Day 1: The French Quarter
    5 minutes (1.5 miles) from Promenade Beach

    Explore the mesmerising Frensh Quarter, also known as the White Town. Take a walking tour to see the colonial-era buildings with their colourful facades, and the beautiful French-style cafes and boutiques. Take a break and sip some coffee at the Le Café or visit the famous Aurobindo Ashram to experience the tranquillity of this spiritual place.

  3. Day 2: Paradise Beach
    20 minutes (7 miles) from French Quarter

    On your second day, head towards the Paradise Beach to experience the beauty of the Bay of Bengal. This beach is situated on an island and requires a boat ride to reach the location. Take a dip in the crystal-clear water and enjoy water sports like kayaking, canoeing, or surfing. Relax and sunbathe, or take a long walk on the white sandy shore surrounded by palm trees.

  4. Day 2: Sri Aurobindo Handmade Paper Factory
    15 minutes (5 miles) from Paradise Beach

    End your journey on a creative note by visiting the Sri Aurobindo Handmade Paper Factory where you can see how paper is made by hand. Observe and participate in the process and make your own souvenir to take back home. The factory is located in a serene environment, surrounded by tall trees and peaceful surroundings.

  • Pondicherry Museum, that houses an eclectic collection of Sri Aurobindo's manuscripts, sculptures and artefacts from the Indus Valley Civilization and the Chola and Pallava dynasties.
