Start your journey by arriving in Shimla, the historical summer capital of the British Raj. In the evening, take a stroll at the famous Mall Road and enjoy the local street food.
Visit the famous Jakhoo Temple located on the Jakhoo Hill, which provides a panoramic view of the city. On your way, halt at Kufri to experience snow-capped mountains. Reach Sarahan in the evening and gaze at the beautiful Bhimakali Temple.
Head towards Sangla Valley, also known as the Baspa Valley, and get mesmerized by the beauty of the place. Visit the Kamru Fort and the Chitkul Village, which is the last inhabited village close to Indo-Tibetan border.
Enroute to Nako, experience the Tabo Monastery, which is referred to as “Ajanta of the Himalayas” for its stunning rock architecture. Post that, resume your journey to the breathtaking village of Nako in Kinnaur district and visit the Nako Lake.
Proceed towards Kaza, the largest township in the valley, surrounded by high mountain ridges. Explore the Ki Monastery and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary to witness exotic Himalayan wildlife. After that, head to Hikkim, known for the highest post office in the world.
Finally, pack your bags and head to Manali. Enroute, halt at Kunzum Pass known for its spectacular view of snow-clad mountains. In Manali, explore the mall road, visit the famous Hidimba Temple and the Solang Valley to witness some adventure sports.
If you have more days, try trekking at Chandra Tal or take a tour to the famous Pin Valley. Also, if you have less time, you can skip Sangla Valley and directly head to Nako from Shimla. Don't forget to carry warm clothes, as the weather can be chilly even in summer.
