Kedarkanth 6-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri

    Start your journey from Dehradun to Sankri, a small village and the gateway to the Kedarkanth trek. Enjoy scenic views of Garhwal Himalayas on your way, and spend the night in Sankri to prepare for your trek.

  2. Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab
    5-6 hours (4.5 km) trek from Sankri

    The long-awaited Kedarkanth trek starts today. After breakfast, start your trek towards Juda Ka Talab, a beautiful lake surrounded by pine and oak trees. This moderate trek is ideal for beginners and offers magnificent views of the mountains.

  3. Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkanth Base
    4-5 hours (4 km) trek from Juda Ka Talab

    Today, trek towards the Kedarkanth base camp, where you can see the majestic Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch peaks. En route, you will cross a dense forest, climb steep trails, and cross a few streams. Spend the night in tents under the starry sky.

  4. Day 4: Kedarkanth Base to Kedarkanth Summit
    6-7 hours (6 km) trek from Kedarkanth Base

    Today is the most challenging yet rewarding day of the trek. Start early in the morning to reach the Kedarkanth summit before sunrise and enjoy the breathtaking views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Descend back to the base camp and spend the night in tents.

  5. Day 5: Kedarkanth Base to Sankri
    4-5 hours (8 km) trek from Kedarkanth Base, 2 hours (8 km) drive from Sankri

    Today's trek is relatively easy as you descend down to Sankri. You can take a detour to visit the Kedarkanth Temple, located at the base of the summit. Spend the night in Sankri and relax after the trek.

  6. Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun
    7 hours (131 km) from Sankri

    End your trip by driving back to Dehradun, taking with you unforgettable memories of the Kedarkanth trek.
