Start your journey from Dehradun to Sankri, the base camp of the Kedarkanth trek. It’s a long and scenic drive through the lush green forests of Uttarakhand. Have dinner and stay overnight at Sankri.
Begin your trek from Sankri to Juda ka Talab, surrounded by dense forests of oak and pine trees. The trek is moderately steep and will require some physical exertion. Juda ka Talab is a serene lake, and you can spend the night camping by the lakeside.
This part of the trek takes you through the lush meadows surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, with the occasional sound of a gushing stream. You will reach the Kedarkanth base camp by evening. Have dinner and stay overnight at the camp.
The highlight of the trek - the summit climb! Start early in the morning and be prepared for a steep climb. The view from the top is breathtaking - 360-degree panoramic views of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks. Descend towards Hargaon campsite post lunch and stay overnight there.
This is the last day of your trek, and it's mostly downhill. Reach Sankri by afternoon, have lunch, and drive towards Dehradun, concluding your unforgettable Kedarkanth experience.
Carry warm clothes as it gets chilly during the night. Wear comfortable trekking shoes and carry a backpack with essentials like sunscreen, a first aid kit, sunglasses, and water bottles. You can carry light snacks like energy bars for the trek. If you have an extra day, visit Har ki Dun valley.
