3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Hampi

  1. Day 1: Hiking the Matanga Hill

    Hiking up the Matanga Hill early morning is the perfect way to start the adventure in Hampi. It gives a breath-taking panoramic view of the whole of Hampi. The hill has many boulders and flights of steps which give the hiking much more fun. The hilltop has a beautiful temple called the Matangaeshwara Temple which worth the hike.

  2. Day 2: Rock Climbing at Hampi Boulders
    Starting point: Virupaksha Temple
    Time and Distance: 20 minutes (7.9 km) from Matanga Hill

    Hampi Boulders offer an excellent experience of rock climbing. Surrounded by breathtaking scenic beauty, this place is a haven for rock climbers. The boulders range from 20 to 45 feet and the climbing safe which gives an adrenaline rush like no other.

  3. Day 3: Kayaking in Sanapur Lake
    Starting point: Virupaksha Temple
    Time and Distance: 1 hour (7.6km) from Hampi Boulders

    Sanapur Lake is an excellent place to experience kayaking adventure in Hampi. The scenic beauty of the lake is awe-inspiring. Kayaking here is not very difficult and the water is not very deep. It is peaceful and refreshing to watch the birds, hills, and greenery along the banks of the lake.

Useful Tips:

If you have an extra day in hand, consider visiting the famous Elephant Stables, Vitthala Temple or Hampi Bazaar. For a less hectic trip, you can skip rock climbing and visiting Sanapur, opting instead for visiting the Coracle Ride at Tungabhadra River. Don't forget sunscreen, a hat and shoes for hiking and rock climbing.
