Vagamon Adventure

  1. Day 1: Paragliding at Kolahalamedu
    1 hour (22.5 km) from Vagamon town

    Experience the thrill of flying like a bird amidst the breathtaking views of Western Ghats. The activity is conducted by certified trainers and offers a bird's-eye view of the rolling hills, meadows, and farms. The best time to paraglide is in the morning when the wind is perfect. After a 30 minutes' ride up the hill, you can glide for about 10-15 mins.

  2. Day 2: Trekking at Thangal Para
    30 mins (10 km) from Vagamon town

    Thangal para is named after a Muslim saint, Sheikh Fariuddin, who is believed to have visited and meditated in the cave. The trek to Thangal Para is an easy one through lush green landscapes. The highlight of the trek is the view of the entire Vagamon valley from the hilltop. You can relax and meditate in the cave before heading down.

  3. Day 3: ATV Ride at Vagamon Meadows
    15 mins (5 km) from Vagamon town

    ATV Ride is the perfect way to explore the Vagamon Meadows, a vast expanse of rolling meadows with the backdrop of the hills. The quad bike ride is a thrilling experience as you maneuver around the bumpy terrain. The ride lasts for about an hour, and there are trainers available to offer safety instructions.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Pine Forest, the Kurishumala Ashram or the Vagamon lake. Avid trekkers can further explore the hills of Murugan Mala or Illikal Peak. For those who have less time, you can skip the Thangal Para trek. Do note that paragliding is dependent on weather conditions and might be canceled in case of rain or strong winds.
