Chinnakallar Falls is the second highest waterfall in Tamil Nadu, cascading down a height of approximately 1,000 ft. this location offers the perfect scenic beauty of lush green forests and coffee plantations for nature enthusiasts. Following this, head towards Aliyar Dam, situated at the foothills of the Anaimalai range. This is a hotspot for many water-based activities such as boat rides, fishing, and more.
Dedicate your third day to visiting the Anamalai Tiger Reserve and Balaji Temple. The reserve is rich in flora and fauna, and offers a thrilling adventure into the wild. A bus ride through the reserve will allow you to spot a plethora of species including the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. After this, head towards the Balaji Temple, a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Balaji.
If you have an extra day, consider visiting some of the tea estates in the region such as the Nenmarkkandy Tea Estate. If you have less time, drop either Chinnakallar Falls or Aliyar Dam from the itinerary. Make sure to carry a valid ID while visiting the tiger reserve.
