Kabini River, also known as Kapila, is a beautiful river flowing through the state of Karnataka. Chembra Peak is the highest peak in the Wayanad district, with an elevation of 2,100 meters above sea level. The peak offers a spectacular view of the entire Wayanad district. The trek to the top of the peak is a challenging one, but the view from the top makes it all worth it. Tourists need to obtain permission from the forest department to trek to the peak. Tourists can also enjoy the heart-shaped lake, situated halfway through the trek, which is a perfect spot to capture beautiful moments. It is the perfect place for tourists who love trekking or want to spend time in nature.
If tourists want to spend more time, they can extend their trek to Meenmutty waterfalls, situated approximately 25 km from Chembra Peak. The trek is beautiful and takes around 2 hours. If they have less time, they can visit the Kuruvadweep island, situated 35 km from Kabini River, which is accessible by boat and offers visitors to soak in the beauty of the river and spend some time amidst nature.
