3-Day Wayanad Itinerary

1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves
   From Chennai to Edakkal Caves: 558 km, approximately 9 hours by car
   Estimated time at Edakkal Caves: 2-3 hours

   Explore the ancient Edakkal Caves to see the prehistoric rock art and carvings. It is located on the top of Ambukuthi Hill, so be prepared for a little hike. The views from the top make it all worthwhile.

2. Day 2: Banasura Sagar Dam and Meenmutty falls
   From Edakkal Caves to Banasura Sagar Dam: 32 km, approximately 52 minutes by car
   From Banasura Sagar Dam to Meenmutty falls: 17 km, approximately 1 hour by car
   Estimated time at Banasura Sagar Dam: 2-3 hours
   Estimated time at Meenmutty falls: 1-2 hours

   Start the day by visiting the Banasura Sagar Dam and taking a boat ride to enjoy the beautiful views. After the dam, head to the Meenmutty falls for a peaceful walk in nature and a refreshing dip in the falls.

3. Day 3: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
   From Meenmutty falls to Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary: 29 km, approximately 1 hour by car
   Estimated time at Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary: 4-5 hours

   End the trip with a visit to the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary to experience the natural habitats of wild animals. Trek to Chembra Peak and visit Pookode Lake to complete the trip.
