Start the trip by flying from Islamabad to Chitral. Once there, visit the Chitral Fort (Shahi Qila) and learn about the Chitrali culture and history. Another must visit attraction in Chitral is the Bomburet Valley - known for its stunning scenery.
Head to Phandur Valley, about an hour and a half drive from Chitral. Along the way, enjoy the scenic lush green hills and the crystal clear stream of the Phandur River. Once there, relax and take a dip in the river or organize a picnic with your travel companions.
Attend the Shandur Polo Festival, the highest polo ground in the world. The festival is held once a year in July and attracts tourists from all around the world. The festival is a great way to experience the local culture and take part in exciting outdoor activities.
Explore the ancient Kalash Valley, where the Kalash people have been living for centuries. Visit the Bumburet Valley and the Old Wooden Mosque, and learn about the unique traditions of the Kalash people.
Return back to Islamabad, capping this incredible trip.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Garam Chashma Hot Springs in Chitral or a trek to one of the many beautiful destinations in Chitral, like the Birir Valley, or the Boni Zindagi Park.
If you have less time, skip the visit to Phandur and head straight to Shandur Festival. Alternatively, you can also spend an additional day in Chitral or Islamabad and explore more of the city's attractions and hidden gems.
