Head to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on earth, and experience the stunning Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Travel to Mawlynnong Village, known as "Asia's Cleanest Village" and experience the breathtaking Living Root Bridge. Take a dip in the natural pools at Dawki River and later, enjoy some local cuisine at Mawlynnong Restaurant.
If you have more time, check out the Umiam Lake in Shillong or Krem Mawsmai Cave in Cherrapunjee. If you have less time, skip Mawlynnong and Dawki River and head straight back to Shillong to enjoy its bustling nightlife. Don't forget to bring comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, and rain gear.
