Start your day by exploring the rich history of Pelion at The Museum of Folk Art and History of Pelion. You will discover many traditional objects and artifacts, including ancient weapons, ceramics, and photographs. They also have a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the local flowers.
Head to the charming village of Milies and take a trip on the famous Train of Pelion. The restored steam train offers a picturesque ride through the stunning scenery of the region. You will cross several bridges and go through tunnels before arriving at the station of Ano Lehonia.
On your final day, you can visit the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil, which offers an interactive tour where you can learn about the history of the olive and the techniques of olive oil production. Additionally, they offer olive oil tasting and a wide range of olive oil products
The best way to explore Pelion is by car or taxi. You can also rent a bike if you want to do some physical activity while exploring the region. Keep in mind that some of the roads can be steep and windy, and parking in busy areas of the city center can be challenging. Expect to pay €1.50- €2.00 per km by taxi.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the stunning beaches of the Pagasitikos Gulf, like Kala Nera and Afissos. If you have less time, skip The Museum of Folk Art and History of Pelion and make your way directly to the Train Station of Milies in the morning.
