Start your trip in Yerevan Botanic Garden, one of the city's hidden gems. Home to over 300 species of plants and trees, this garden offers serene and relaxing surroundings. Take a leisurely walk and soak up the natural beauty before heading to your next destination.
Visit two of Armenia's most iconic landmarks, the Garni Temple, and the Geghard Monastery. The Garni Temple is a beautifully preserved Hellenic temple that dates back to the 1st century AD. Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a complex of medieval churches and tombs intricately carved into a mountainside.
Spend some time by the beautiful Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Armenia. Enjoy a relaxed day by the lake, take a dip, or go for a guided boat tour to admire the scenery. Take in the stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains while enjoying your lunch at one of the several restaurants located nearby.
End your trip with a visit to Dilijan National Park. This forested area is known for its tranquil trails and stunning scenery. Go for a hike, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take in the beauty of the lush forest. Before heading back to Yerevan, visit the charming old town of Dilijan, also known as the ‘Armenian Switzerland’.
Armenia's transportation system is still developing, and while there is a public transportation system, it is not well-suited for tourists. We recommend renting a car or hiring a private tour guide with transportation services. A rental car costs around $20 per day, and a private tour with transportation costs around $120 per day.
If you have more time, consider visiting additional national parks or spending more time exploring Yerevan. For a shorter trip, consider eliminating one of the destinations or combining two of the destinations into one day.
Armenia's main airport is Zvartnots International Airport (EVN), located 12 km west of Yerevan city center. The airport offers shuttle buses to Yerevan city center for approximately $2, or you can take a taxi for around $10.
