The Rameshwaram Temple is a Hindu religious site well-known for its history and architecture. It is one of the four sacred sites of Hinduism, which attracts millions of pilgrims every year. Devotees believe that taking a dip in the holy water inside the temple will purify their souls. Take at least a half-day to visit this magnificent temple.
Visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located on a small island off of Kanyakumari. Take a ferry to the island, where you can visit the statue of Swami Vivekananda and the meditation hall. In the evening, pay a visit to the Thiruppullani temple of Lord Adi Jagannatha Perumal and seek blessings.
On the final day, relax at the Ariyaman Beach, take a walk on the sand and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Afterward, ride over the iconic Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge and witness the breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal.
If you have more time, you can plan a trip to Dhanushkodi – a beautiful beach with serene surroundings, Pamban Bridge – a spectacular rail bridge, and Gandhamadhana Parvatham – a small hill offering a panoramic view of Rameshwaram. If you have less time, skip the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruppullani temple. Instead, plan a visit to the Ramanathapuram Palace and Museum.
