Transportation

Consider renting a car or hiring a private driver for the duration of the trip. Bus service is available between cities but hiring a driver or private taxi offers more flexibility and will give more time for sightseeing. Taxis or transportation-hailing apps are available for local to short distances options, bike rides and walking is also feasible if staying around the cities centers.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider visiting Saranda Museaum or taking a cooking class on traditional Albanian cuisine. For something different, a visit to the Erzeni Canyon and white water rafting is an excellent adventure. Visitors with less time can skip one or two of the destinations or select the ones more preferred. And also, rest well before each activity to fully enjoy them.

Airports

Tirana's Rinas Mother Theresa Airport (TIA) is the country's main international gateway. It is situated in Tirana, 20 km northwest of the city center. Primary airlines serving TIA are Turkish Airlines, WizzAir, and Air Albania. The airport is modern and spacious, with a range of amenities such as shops, cafes, restaurants, and ATMs.
