Begin your day exploring Amsterdam's top landmarks. Start off at the beautiful Rijksmuseum where you can see an impressive collection of Dutch art and artifacts. After spending a couple of hours at the museum, head over to the gorgeous Vondelpark, Amsterdam's largest park. After enjoying the scenic park, walk down Leidseplein and make your way to the historic De Nieuwe Kerk which often hosts exhibitions and art shows. Finally, end your day admiring the city's stunning canals on a Canal Cruise, a popular activity for tourists to take in the beauty of Amsterdam's winding waterways.
On day 2, take a day trip out of Amsterdam and visit two fantastic cities, Rotterdam and Delft. Begin by visiting Rotterdam's Euromast Tower, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city from its observation deck. Afterwards, explore a unique art collection and a beautiful garden at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Following your visit to Rotterdam, make your way to Delft to see the famous Vermeer Centre Delft, a museum dedicated to the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. And finally, end your day touring the Royal Delft pottery factory which still uses traditional techniques to make beautiful earthenware, including the iconic blue and white Delft tiles.
If you have more time, consider adding visits to Utrecht, The Hague, or Haarlem. If you have less time, prioritize the attractions in Amsterdam. And remember to double check opening and closing times for each location before visiting to avoid disappointment.
