Visit the Agasthiyar Falls for picturesque sceneries, which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Tirunelveli district. Head over to the Kalakkadu Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can spot tigers, elephants and many exotic birds.
Relax and unwind at the Courtallam Falls, which is famous for its therapeutic waters. After a refreshing swim, head over to the ancient Papanasam Temple, which lies on the banks of Thamiraparani River and is famous for its healing powers.
Lastly, hike up to the Nine Falls located in the dense forest of the Western Ghats, visit the Manimuthar Dam which is one of the tallest dams in India and enjoy a serene boat ride in its tranquil waters.
If you have more time, visit other ancient temples in the area, such as the Suchindram Temple and Nellaiappar Temple. Alternatively, if you prefer more outdoor activities, go on a trek at the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve or the Agasthiyamalai Biosphere Reserve. For those with less time, prioritize visiting the Nine Falls and Manimuthar Dam as they are closest to Kalakkad.
