Take a dip in the refreshing waters of Suruli Falls, surrounded by dense forests and hills. The waterfall is situated in a serene and peaceful environment, perfect for a picnic with your family. Trek to the top of the waterfall for spectacular views of the valley.
Explore the rich flora and fauna of Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over an area of 777 square kilometers. Take a boat ride on the Periyar lake, watch the playful elephants and spot the exotic birds in their natural habitat. The sanctuary is also home to tigers, leopards, deer, and other wildlife.
If you have more time, you can visit the Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary which is around 10 km from Meghamalai Tea Estate. You can also explore the local markets in Vaagaman and try the authentic South Indian cuisine. If you have less time, you can skip one of the destinations and spend more time exploring the others. However, we recommend that you do not miss Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary as it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.
