Start your day with a scenic drive towards the highest peak in Karnataka - Mullayanagiri. At 6,330 feet, the peak offers stunning panoramic views of the Western Ghats. The trek to the peak is moderate and takes around 2-3 hours. On your way back, visit the Baba Budangiri range famous for its coffee plantations and gorgeous landscapes.
Head out to the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary for a safari experience. The sanctuary is home to tigers, leopards, bison, elephants, and several species of birds. The safari lasts for about 90 minutes, and you can opt for a jeep or bus safari. After the safari, take a walk towards the Hebbe Falls, which is a popular picnic spot among the locals. The waterfall offers a stunning view, and you can also take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.
If you have an extra day, explore the Bhadra Dam near the Wildlife Sanctuary or visit the Kudremukh National Park for more trekking trails. If you have less time, you can skip the trek to Mullayanagiri peak and explore the Hirekolale Lake near the city center for a relaxing picnic. Make sure to carry some warm clothes as the temperature drops in the evening.
