Arrive in Leh and acclimatize to the high altitude. Head out to Leh Palace for a taste of Ladakhi architecture and culture. Later, visit the Shanti Stupa for an unforgettable view of the sunset over the city.
Drive through the highest motorable road in the world, Khardung La Pass, and reach the beautiful Nubra Valley. Witness the Bactrian camel rides, sand dunes, a visit to the Diskit Monastery and the 32-metre Maitreya Buddha statue.
Visit the famous & stunning blue Pangong Lake, known for its serene beauty & appearance in the movie “3 Idiots”. Explore the nearby surrounding wetlands and migratory birds. Later head down to campsite near the lake and enjoy a bonfire night under stars.
Visit the ancient Alchi Monastery, known for its unique Ladakhi architecture and mural paintings. Next up is the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib which brings its own magic of location, surrounded by mountain views and drive up to Magnetic Hill to witness the natural optical illusion.
Start the day with river rafting through the Zanskar river for some extreme adventure. Later visit the largest and wealthiest Gompa in Ladakh- Hemis Monastery and take in its beautiful art & architecture. Finally head back to Leh for shopping at the local markets in the evening.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Tso Moriri Lake and try camping there. You can also take a trek to reach Triund, a beautiful hiking spot. If you have less time, you can skip rafting or shopping in Leh. However, try to not to skip visiting the Hemis Monastery, because of rich culture & architecture and if the locations remain closed, you can visit an alternative attraction around the vicinity.
