Bear in mind that there are many routes to reach the fort, some are steep and others are easy on the foot, do watch out before hiking up.

If you have an extra day, we recommend you visit the Bhaja caves, a group of 22 rock-cut caves built in 200 BC. Pavana Lake, an artificial lake is also a must-visit, offering a picturesque view and serene surroundings. Alternatively, take a break from exploring and relax in one of the many spas in Lonavala. If you have less time, we would recommend dropping the Karla Caves from your itinerary and instead head to Lonavala Lake.
