Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Eravikulam National Park is a famous tourist attraction in Munnar. Spread across an area of 97 sq km, this national park offers trekking and hiking opportunities for tourists. The park is open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily except for February to April when it is closed for the calving season.
On the last day, head to the popular Mattupetty Dam, which is a beautiful location offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. The dam also provides boating facilities and is a popular picnic spot. Mattupetty dam is usually crowded in the afternoons, so plan to visit during the morning hours.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Tea Museum, which is located in the Nallathanni Estate and showcases the history and evolution of tea plantations in Munnar.
