Explore Manali, set amongst the Himalayan foothills and surrounded by pine forests. Visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, located amidst cedar forests and experience the local culture at the Manali Market. Take a scenic drive to Solang Valley for adventurous activities such as skiing, zorbing and paragliding.
Drive to the Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass situated at an altitude of 13,050 ft. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and glaciers. Go skiing and enjoy a hot cup of tea at the Gulaba Campsite. Make sure to get an early start and check the weather forecast, as the pass is open to visitors only when it is safe.
Depart from Manali and return to Chandigarh for your onward journey home.
For those with more time, consider adding a visit to Mcleod Ganj in Dharamshala, the home of the Dalai Lama, or a trek to Chandratal Lake near Spiti. For those with less time, consider skipping the Rohtang Pass, which can be weather dependent and time-consuming, and opt for exploring more of Shimla or Kullu instead.
