Head to the Vienna Prater, Europe's oldest amusement park, and enjoy some family-friendly fun rides, or for a more relaxed family afternoon, take a stroll in the park or have a picnic. Spend your last day at the Hofburg Palace, the former royal palace, to learn more about Austria's history and the Vienna Boys' Choir. Take a walk in the gardens or watch one of the shows they have. Later, visit the Belvedere Palace to marvel at Austrian art and classical masterpieces. Kids will love the palace gardens with playful fountains.
Vienna has an extensive public transport network that is easy to use and covers the whole city. The most convenient and cost-effective way to get around is by purchasing a 24-hour Vienna transport ticket (€8). Taxis are also available, but can be quite expensive.
If you have more time, consider visiting the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Spanish Riding School or the Prunksaal. If you have less time, remove the Belvedere Palace from the itinerary.
Vienna International Airport (VIE) is located around 16km southeast of the city centre. You can reach the airport by train, car or taxi with an average travel time of 20-30 minutes.
