    This 7th-century temple is one of the most revered religious sites for Hindus. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple boasts of rich architecture, intricate carvings, and stunning paintings. The temple has an enormous tower, which is visible from a considerable distance.

  3. Day 3: Vittala Temple
    30 minutes (9.6 miles) from Virupaksha Temple

    The most famous temple in Hampi, Vittala temple is a masterpiece of art and architecture. The temple is famous for its musical pillars, which produce melodious sounds when struck. The stunning stone chariot and the gigantic Garuda pillar are also worth seeing. It is recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
