The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is a hub of adventure activities for nature lovers. The sanctuary is spread across 800 sq km and is home to several species of flora and fauna, including black panthers, tigers, and elephants. One can participate in bird watching and hiking. White water rafting is also a popular activity conducted in the sanctuary on the Kali River.
The Kavala Caves are the perfect destination for those who love to venture into the unknown. These limestone caves are about 375m above sea level and are known for their stalactite and stalagmite formations. A trained guide will escort you through the maze-like interiors of the caves, and you will experience the thrill of exploring the unknown darkness.
If you have more time, you can visit the Moulangi Eco Park and Sykes Point to observe nature's breathtaking views. For those with less time, skip the Kavala Caves and spend more time bird watching and hiking at the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. Please note that the ideal time to visit Dandeli is between October and May, and some activities may not be available during the rainy season.
