Vrindavan is known as a sacred city in the Hindu religion and is full of beautiful temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. Amongst the many, the Banke Bihari Temple is the most popular one here. The temple is decorated with lights and flowers, adding to the charm of the visit.
The Prem Mandir is a relatively new temple, compared to the others in Vrindavan. Its construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2012. The temple is made of white marble and glows beautifully in the evenings. The temple’s halls are adorned with exquisite carvings depicting the life story of Lord Krishna.
The Dwarkadheesh Temple in Mathura is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is located at the heart of Mathura, and you can see the whole city from its rooftop. The temple is a wondrous sight in its architecture and will leave you feeling very peaceful.
If you have extra time - spend the night in Agra and explore the markets for some retail therapy. Or, if you have less time - skip Banke Bihari temple and spend more time at the Taj Mahal. If you want to avoid crowds, it's best to visit the Taj Mahal early in the morning or late in the evening.
