Adventurous 3-Day Itinerary in Sri Lanka

  1. Day 1: Sinharaja Forest Reserve

    Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a biodiversity hotspot and is home to many endemic species. The forest boasts a dense canopy and is perfect for trekking or wildlife spotting. The trek to the peak of Moulawella or to the waterfall in the forest is highly recommended. Remember to bring your camera as there are many stunning views and sights to see.

  2. Day 2: Horton Plains National Park

    Horton Plains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It is known for its stunning landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife. Some of the popular activities include hiking to the famous World's End, trekking to the Baker's falls, and bird watching in the park. If you are lucky, you might even spot the elusive Sri Lankan leopard on your hike.

  3. Day 3: Kalpitiya
    4 hours 44 minutes (173 km) from Horton Plains National Park

    Kalpitiya is a charming coastal town known for its watersports. It is a great place to go kitesurfing, windsurfing or just enjoying the beach. During the winter months, you can also go dolphin or whale watching. If you are feeling adventurous, you can also go snorkelling or diving at the Bar Reef, the largest coral reef system in Sri Lanka.
