If you have extra time, visit the Periyar Memorial House to learn about the Indian freedom fighter V.O. Chidambaram Pillai. You can also explore the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the oldest churches in Erode.
If you have less time, skip the Vellode Bird Sanctuary and go straight to the Bhavani Sagar Dam. It will give you more time to enjoy water sports and the serenity of the place.
