Monterosso Al Mare is the largest of the five cliffside villages that make up the Cinque Terre. You can enjoy strolling along its ancient streets, admiring small historic churches or relaxing at its beautiful beaches. Don't miss the chance to try the local seafood specialities!
Vernazza is the most picturesque village of the Cinque Terre. Its small harbour, colourful houses and tower-shaped church make it a perfect location to relax, take stunning pictures and explore the surroundings. We suggest a boat tour to admire the other parts of the coast.
Riomaggiore and Manarola are two of the most scenic villages of the Cinque Terre. You can enjoy a walk along the famous "Via dell'Amore" (the Path of Love) or hike the high trails going down to the sea. In the evening don't miss the chance to sit in a romantic corner while sipping some excellent local wine.
Travelers can reach Cinque Terre by train or by car. For those coming from Milan, the quickest route is by car, estimated at 2 hours 36 minutes, while by train the route takes approximately 3 hours. The best way to move around the area is by trains that connect the five villages, and also by local buses. Estimated cost for transportation is around €50 per person.
If you have more days available, we recommend visiting Corniglia, the only village not located on the sea. If you only have two days, we suggest merging day 2 and 3 and visiting both Riomaggiore and Manarola in one day. Remember to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen and beachwear.
The closest airport to Cinque Terre is Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA), located approximately 100 km away. The second closest is Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA), approximately 120 km away.
