Start your day by visiting the Doddabetta Peak - the highest mountain peak in the Nilgiri Hills region, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and lush greenery. After that, visit the Ooty Botanical Garden, which is spread over 22 hectares and has more than 650 species of plants and trees. Spend your afternoon at the Ooty Lake - a serene lake where you can go boating and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. End your day by visiting the St. Stephen's Church - a 19th-century church famous for its Gothic architecture.
Today you will explore the Mudumalai National Park - a wildlife sanctuary known for its rich biodiversity and natural beauty. Take a jungle safari and spot elephants, deer, peacocks and many other animals in their natural habitat. After the safari, visit the Theppakadu Elephant Camp where you can watch elephants being bathed and fed. After the camp visit the Mudumalai Rose Garden - a garden known for its beautiful collection of roses.
Start your day by visiting the Pykara Waterfalls - a beautiful waterfall situated amidst lush greenery and serene surroundings. Next, head to the Thread Garden - a unique garden where everything, including flowers and plants, is made of threads. Then visit the Ooty Rose Garden - an enchanting garden with a collection of more than 4000 varieties of roses. End your day by visiting the Doddabetta Tea Museum - a museum that offers a glimpse into the history of tea production in India.
For those with more time, you can also visit the Ooty Tribal Research Centre which showcases the tribal culture of the region, or take a toy train ride on the Ooty Mountain Railway. If you have less time, you can skip the Doddabetta Tea Museum or choose to spend less time at the Botanical Garden or Rose Garden. Do note that Mudhumalai National Park is closed during the monsoon season (usually from June - October).
