Amarnath: An 8-day journey to the Holy Shrine

  1. Day 1: Srinagar -> Pahalgam
    95 km (3.5 hours) from Srinagar

    Arrive in Srinagar and drive to Pahalgam. Enroute visit Awantipora Ruins and Saffron fields. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.

  2. Day 2: Pahalgam
    Explore the beautiful hill station of Pahalgam.

    Visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. Overnight stay in Pahalgam.

  3. Day 3: Pahalgam -> Sheshnag
    16 km (1 hour) trek from Pahalgam

  4. Day 4: Sheshnag -> Panchtarni
    12 km (6-7 hours) trek from Sheshnag

    Resume the Amarnath Yatra and arrive at Panchtarni. Overnight stay in Panchtarni.

  5. Day 5: Panchtarni -> Amarnath Cave -> Baltal
    18 km (9-10 hours) trek from Panchtarni

    Visit the sacred Amarnath Cave and continue the Yatra to Baltal. Overnight stay in Baltal.

  6. Day 6: Baltal
    Rest and relax in Baltal.

    Take an optional helicopter ride to Panchtarni and skip the trek. Visit the Baltal valley and spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Baltal.

  7. Day 7: Baltal -> Srinagar
    70 km (3 hours) from Baltal

    Return to Srinagar and visit the world-famous Dal Lake. Shop for souvenirs at Residency Road and explore the city. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

  8. Day 8: Departure
    Transfer to the airport and fly back home.

    Enjoy breakfast and bid adieu to the beautiful valley of Kashmir.
