Explore Hampi in 4 Days

  1. Day 1: Hampi Bazaar
    Start your trip in the iconic Hampi Bazaar, the heart of Hampi. (Open: 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

    Located near the Virupaksha Temple, the bazaar offers everything from souvenirs, clothes to local street food. Enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the bazaar before moving towards Hemakuta Hill, watch the stunning sunset from elevated platforms, explore the temples on the hill, such as Vishnu Temple, and Varaha Temple.

  2. Day 2: Royal centre
    Starting from Kamalapura town

    Visit one of the grandest structures in the Hampi Group of Monuments, the Vithala Temple, famous for its iconic musical pillars. Later, visit the King's Palace and Queen's Bath located in the Royal Centre, and learn about the history of the Vijayanagara Kingdom.

  3. Day 3: Anegundi
    Starting from Tungabhadra River

    Head upstream of the Tungabhadra River to explore the laidback village of Anegundi. Visit the Anjanadri Hill to experience the panoramic view of Hampi and surrounding rural scenery. Later head to the Anjaneya Temple also known as Kishkindha that occupies a significant place in Hindu mythology.

  4. Day 4: Hampi Archaeological Sites and Museums
    Starting from Kamalapura town

    Start your day with exploring the archeological sites and the museums like Hampi Archeological Museum and on-site sites museum. Visit the site of Hazara Rama Temple, famous for its intricately carved pillars and the depictions of Ramayana on the walls. Later end the day with visiting the nearby village of Talarigatta gate and witness the rural side of Hampi.
