2-Day Itinerary: Chennai to Vagamon

  1. Day 1: Munnar
    4 hours 30 minutes (150 km) from Chennai

    Start your journey early as the drive to Munnar takes around 4 and a half hours. Once you arrive, you will be greeted with lush tea farms and misty hills. Take a guided tour of the **Kannan Devan Tea Museum** and learn about the history of tea-making in Munnar. Follow it up with a visit to the **Mattupetty Dam** to witness the picturesque views of the lake and the surrounding hills. Finally, visit the **Eravikulam National Park** to spot rare species of flora and fauna including the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. You can also go for a hike or take a nature walk in the national park.

  2. Day 2: Vagamon
    3 hours 20 minutes (96 km) from Munnar

    Start your day early and head to Vagamon. Before you reach there, stop by the **Kurisumala Ashram** to witness the meditation and yoga practices of the monks. Afterward, head to the **Vagamon Pine Forest** and take a nature walk through the picturesque pine trees. Follow it up with a visit to the **Vagamon Meadows** to witness the scenic hills and green meadows. If you have more time, you can also visit the **Maramala Waterfall** to witness the serene and tranquil beauty of the waterfall.
