Today you will visit the Kedarnath Temple, one of the four pilgrimage sites of the famous Char Dham circuit. It is located at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and breathtaking scenery.
Experience the stunning views of the Himalayas as you embark on a trek to Gandhi Sarovar. The trek is moderately difficult but rewarding. Gandhi Sarovar is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 4,438 meters above sea level and is named after Mahatma Gandhi.
Today is another trekking day as you get to visit the beautiful Vasuki Tal Lake. It is situated at an altitude of 4,135 meters above sea level and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. The trek is challenging but well worth the effort.
After three days of trekking, it is time to relax and explore the surrounding areas. Sonprayag is a serene town located at the confluence of Mandakini and Basuki rivers. You can explore the town and visit the nearby Ghats.
Pay a visit to the Triyuginarayan Temple, located in the Triyuginarayan Village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is famous for the marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens and offers stunning views of the Himalayas.
On your last day, visit Gaurikund, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site. It is believed to be the spot where Goddess Parvati meditated to win the heart of Lord Shiva. You can take a plunge in the hot water springs and explore the town before bidding adieu to Kedarnath.
If you have more time, you can visit the nearby towns of Guptkashi and Ukhimath. These places offer various trekking trails and beautiful scenery. However, if you have less time, you may skip Gandhi Sarovar trek or Vasuki Tal and opt for a shorter trek to Bhairavnath temple. Remember to carry warm clothing and comfortable shoes for trekking.
