Explore Varanasi and Prayagraj in 4 Days

  1. Day 1: Varanasi
    Varanasi Cantt Railway Station to Assi Ghat (6km, 15 mins)

    Begin your Varanasi exploration by visiting the Assi Ghat, the southernmost ghat of the city. Take a boat ride on the Ganges to witness the morning rituals. Next, head to the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum to witness the unique art and artefacts of Kashi. Visit the Dashashwamedh Ghat and witness the evening aarti ceremony. End the day on a serene note with a visit to the Tulsi Manas Mandir.

  2. Day 2: Varanasi
    Banaras Hindu University to Kashi Vishwanath Temple (6km, 20 mins)

    Start your day with a visit to the Banaras Hindu University, one of India's premier academic institutions. After that, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Take a rickshaw ride around the old city lanes and stop by the famous Blue Lassi Shop for a refreshing lassi. End your day by witnessing the grand Ganga aarti on the Assi Ghat.

  3. Day 3: Prayagraj
    Varanasi Cantt Railway Station to Prayagraj junction (3.5 hours by train)

    Take a train from Varanasi to reach Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad, after a 3.5-hour journey. On arrival, explore the famous Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati. Visit the magnificient Allahabad Fort followed by Anand Bhavan, the ancestral home of India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. End the day on a spiritual note by attending the Aarti ceremony at Sangam.

  4. Day 4: Prayagraj
    Anand Bhavan to Prayagraj junction (3.5km, 15 mins)

    Head to the Khusro Bagh, the famous Mughal garden, to witness the unique architecture. Later, visit the Minto Park, dedicated to the first Viceroy of India. End your day by exploring the famous Meerabai ki Reti, also known as the beach of Prayagraj. Before departing, take a look at the famous Hanuman temple in the city.
