Exploring Rishikesh and Kedarnath

  1. Day 1: Rishikesh
    From Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport, Rishikesh is 20.9 km away and takes around 52 min to reach.

    Begin your spiritual journey with a dip at Triveni Ghat. Later visit the Lakshman Jhula, an iron suspension bridge over the Ganges River and Neer Garh Waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery and scenic beauty.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath
    Kedarnath can be reached from Rishikesh via road (244 km) or helicopter (35 min).

    Visit the famous Kedarnath Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to be constructed by the Pandavas. Admire the natural beauty of Vasuki Tal, a high altitude lake surrounded by Himalayan peaks, and Sonprayag, a place where Mandakini and Songanga rivers meet.

  3. Day 3: Kedarnath
    Explore the beauty of nature around Kedarnath.

    Head to Gandhi Sarovar, located some distance away from Kedarnath, the lake that is popular for being the source of river Mandakini. Admire the stunning view of the glacier from Kedarnath Helipad.

  4. Day 4: Rishikesh
    Travel back to Rishikesh from Kedarnath via road or helicopter.

    Take a peaceful early morning walk along the banks of River Ganges. Take a bath in the holy waters at Har Ki Pauri, an important ghat and witness the Ganga Aarti in the evening.

  5. Day 5: Rishikesh
    From Rishikesh, the Rajaji National Park is just 18 km away and takes around 28 min via road.

    Take a break from visiting temples and go on a jungle adventure at Rajaji National Park. Spot some of the rich flora and fauna of the region from a jeep safari and enjoy a picnic amidst the serene surroundings of the forest.

  6. Day 6: Rishikesh
    Only 5.5 km away from Rishikesh, the Beatles Ashram can be reached by a 17-minutedrive.

    Get to know more about the famous English rock band at Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia, which offers graffiti arts and meditation sites for visitors.
