Exploring Raja Ampat in 4 Days

  1. Day 1: Waisai Mangrove Forest
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Raja Ampat airport

    Start your Raja Ampat adventure in the Waisai Mangrove Forest, where you will get to see the unique vegetation of the area. Take a wooden boat cruise through the mangroves and admire the pristine views. You can also spot various wildlife species, including unique birds and fish, jumping out of the clear waters. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. The mangroves are open from 8:00am-5:00pm daily.

  2. Day 2: Pasir Timbul and Pianemo Islands
    1.5 hours (29 km) from Waisai Mangrove Forest

    Take a day trip to the Pasir Timbul and Pianemo Islands, two of the most beautiful islands in Raja Ampat. Start your day by taking a wooden boat to Pasir Timbul, a tiny sandbar island that is surrounded by clear turquoise waters, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. After that, head to Pianemo Islands, where you can hike to the top of the viewpoint and witness the stunning panoramic views of the islands and the sea. The islands are open from 7:00am-6:00pm daily.

  3. Day 3: Arborek Island and Yenwar Village
    1 hour (18 km) from Pianemo Islands

    Today, you will visit Arborek Island, a small tropical paradise with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters. You can enjoy various water sports activities such as snorkelling and diving. After that, head to Yenwar Village, a traditional Papuan village where you can learn about the culture and lifestyle of the locals. Make sure to support the local economy by buying handicrafts and souvenirs. The village is open from 9:00am-3:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am-12:00pm on Saturdays.

  4. Day 4: Cape Kri and Manta Point
    1 hour and 30 minutes (40 km) from Yenwar Village

    End your Raja Ampat adventure by exploring the underwater world of the Cape Kri and Manta Point. These two dive sites are known for their diverse marine life, including various species of sharks, fishes, and of course, manta rays. Even if you don’t dive, you can still enjoy the unique and beautiful seascape by snorkelling or taking a glass-bottom boat ride. The dive sites are open from 7:00am-5:00pm daily.
