The Gateway of India is one of India's most recognizable landmarks. Commonly referred to as the "Queen's Necklace," Marine Drive is a 3.6 km promenade that curves along the Arabian sea. The view from here at sunset is breathtaking. Take a stroll along the promenade or enjoy the view while sipping beverages at the nearby Cafe Mondegar.
The UNESCO Heritage site, Elephanta Caves is located on the Elephanta island, which is reached from Gateway of India by a ferry service. The caves consist of two groups of rock-cut caves. The first is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the second consist of huge halls, courtyards and inner shrines. Do not forget to visit the nearby Café Zoe serving authentic Bombay cuisine.
The expansive beach line attracts locals and tourists alike. Revitalize in morning breeze or take a beach stroll at sunset with your significant other. Relish the famous street food of Mumbai including Bhelpuri, Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, and Sev Puri.
If you have more time, go for a Bollywood tour or visit the popular Siddhivinayak Temple. For less time, visit the Sanjay Gandhi National Park and trek up to Kanheri Caves or explore the famous Crawford Market.
