Hampi is one of the most significant archaeological sites in India, offering breathtaking and surreal landscapes. Start your visit to this UNESCO world heritage site by exploring the ancient Vijayanagar ruins including the Hampi Bazaar, Monolithic Bull, Virupaksha Temple, Hemakuta Hill Temples and Sasivekalu Ganesha Temple.
On your second day, head to the northern side of the Tungabhadra river and explore the Elephant Stables,Underground Shiva Temple and Lotus Mahal in the Royal Enclosure. Afterwards, visit Anegondi and Kamalapuram, the sister cities of Hampi where a large number of ancient temples are located.
If you have additional time, you may want to visit the Kings Palace, the Queens Bath, the Matanga Hill and the Vittala Temple. However, if you have less time, you may want to skip a few of the temples in Anegondi and Kamalapuram depending on your interests.
