Start your adventure by hiking up to the Chamundi Hills. The trek to the top of the hill takes about 45 minutes to an hour. At the summit, you'll find the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Chamundeshwari. The view from the top is breathtaking, and you can see the entire city of Mysuru. While trekking down, visit the Nandi Statue, which is a giant statue carved out of a single stone.
Make your way to the KRS Dam, which is about 40 minutes from Chamundi Hills. The dam has a beautiful garden named Brindavan Gardens. The garden is filled with fountains and is a perfect place for an evening stroll. The garden also has a lake where you can go boating, and there is a musical fountain show in the evening.
Drive down to the Bandipur National Park, which is about 2.5 hours from Mysuru. The park is an excellent destination for wildlife enthusiasts. You can take a jeep safari and spot elephants, leopards, tigers, and various other animals. The park also has many hiking trails that take you into the forests. You can also plan a visit to the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary while returning to Mysuru if you have time.
If you have more time, you can visit the Mysuru Zoo, which is home to many exotic animals. If you're interested in art and culture, you can check out the Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum or the Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery and Auditorium. If you have less time, you can skip the Brindavan Gardens and spend more time exploring Bandipur National Park. You can also hire a local guide for the park to have a more immersive experience.
