Day 1: Exploring Mysuru's Landmarks
Start your day at Mysuru Palace (9am – 5:30pm). Walk through the palace's opulent interiors, stunning courtyards, and beautiful gardens to experience the grandeur of the Wadiyar dynasty. Head next to the Jaganmohan Palace Art Gallery and Auditorium (10am – 5:30pm), which is home to an impressive collection of rich paintings and artifacts of the Wadiyars.
From there, make your way to Chamundi Hill (6am – 9pm) and climb up the 1000 steps to reach the Mahishasura statue and Chamundeshwari Temple at the top. The panoramic views of the city from this hill will leave you spellbound. A short drive from the hill is the National Museum of Mysore (10am – 5:30 pm) that exhibits an enriching collection of rare antiques, sculptures and artifacts. End the day with a visit to the Brindavan Gardens (6pm-8pm), a picturesque garden with lush greenery and a musical fountain show.

Next, head to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (7am-8pm), which is the largest walk-through aviary in India, where you can admire various species of birds and wildlife.
After that, visit the Rail Museum (10am – 5:30pm), which depicts the 150-year-old history of Indian railways with a magnificent display of locomotives and artifacts. For lunch, enjoy an authentic Mysore-style meal of dosa, idli, and chutney at Mylari Masala Dosa (9am-10pm).
